Understand what your program asks for.

Look at the instructions around each exercise. If the rest period is unclear, ask your coach. Rushing because a workout feels more demanding is not the same thing as understanding its purpose.

Notice what happens from set to set.

Keep useful notes on your session and discuss them during your check-in. Your experience helps make the conversation specific without turning a general article into a new program.

Do not change everything at once.

Talk about the exercise, effort and rest together. If you change several parts of the session without discussing them, it becomes harder to explain what happened and what you need help with.
